Therapeutic Actions

Punarnava has excellent diuretic andante-inflammatory property.

-It stimulates urine production and thus helps in caring swelling and oedema.

-Punarnava also alkalizes urine and eliminates excessive water accumulated in body.

-Punarnava is widely used to rejuvenate and detoxify the liver, because of its antioxidant and hepatoprotective property

-Punarnava has also shown antibacterial activity, mainly against gram-negative bacteria.

-Cardiac patients should use this under the medical supervision.

Contraindications

With tranquilizers, antidepressant and ant seizure drugs
